The Chalk Walk, which has taken place the last four years, is on the fast track to becoming a time-honored tradition at Natomas Charter School--PFAA. The 2010 event started on Monday, March 8 and lasted one week. Mr. Jim Hunt, art teacher and overseer of the Chalk Walk, said there was no skill level required to join in the chalk fun. Students worked on various chalk designs at lunch time. The chalk art was spread across the side of the campus courtyard, where students could admire it as they walked to and from class. Parents helped make the Chalk Walk at Charter possible by donating the chalk. Although there were some fits of rain, it did not stop about 80 students from working on their art during the event.
