Around ten years ago Technical Adviser, Mr. Landry, asked for a grant and the Digital Department opened up. There are three classes offered: Video Game Production, 2D Digital Art, and 3D Digital Art. The Digital Arts department was opened to further experience in visual arts. Working with the computer expands understanding of the arts because one has to use a mouse instead of a brush or pencil. There are more options when the computer screen in your canvas and an undo button is handy. The following self-portraits were created by 3D students who followed the techniques of Italian artist Giuseppe Arcimboldo. They used the art program called blender and used geometric shapes. Many good things can be achieved through technology, especially art. Click on a photo below to enlarge.
