The Visual Arts department’s students turned the Benvenuti into a Tropical oasis. “Tropical Rhythms” was the art show housed in the Benvenuti Art Gallery in conjunction with the production Once On This Island. All visual art classes were involved in the art show, with pieces up by Drawing I and II, and Painting I and II, and masks made by the Sculpture class. On the walls inside the art gallery were paintings done by students, led by a professional muralist named Debra McDonald aka “Flamerunner”. The show had an artist reception on Friday, April 1 and ran until the end of the show Once On This Island. Click on a photo below to enlarge.
