The Supremes, the Temptations, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and the Jackson 5 were some of the artists whose songs were performed by the NCS Vocal, the Natomas Choir, and Jazz Vocals for the Spring Vocal Ensemble Celebration. "Twisted Motown" had its student rush on May 27 and its performance on May 28. It taught the vocal students diverse styles and history associated with Motown. The performance not only included singing and music, but dancing as well. Much of the featured choreography was done by the students themselves. The audience was given a clear hearing (and vision) of the diverse styles of Motown and how it has changed the music of today. Click image below to enlarge.
